Hello! Welcome to From Miss J to Mrs P.
I am the mum of a family of four that also includes my husband (Mr P) and two sons, Darling Boy 1 (DB1) who is ten years old and Darling Boy 2 (DB2) who has just turned two years old.
I found out I was pregnant soon after starting university and gave birth to my first son when I was nineteen. Since his birth I have returned to university, married Mr P, got my degree in Musical Theatre, worked as a professional singer, gained a PGCE in Primary Teaching and become a teacher.
Eight years after the birth of DB1, we welcomed our second child. I returned to work for a short time following maternity leave, but circumstances led me to make the decision to stop working for the time being and become a stay at home mum.
I wanted to start a blog a number of years ago but didn’t have the confidence or time, due to working, to dedicate to this. So, since my 30th birthday this year marked a new period in my life and a new mind set, I decided in between looking after my family, I would create From Miss J to Mrs P.
I’m hoping my experiences as a mum (one as a first-time teenage mum and the other as a second-time mum in my late twenties), my struggles with anxiety and depression, being a working mum and a new stay at home mum will make for good reading and be helpful as other blogs have been to me.
